Giving Thanks on Thanksgiving Day

This was a day of giving and sharing. Today we ( Fountain Chateau B&B & Lend A Hand) served 100 meals at the B&B to people & volunteers who attended the 2nd annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the Community and those facing housing difficulties. The number of volunteers that gave up their day to come out and help serve was awesome. We thank each of you. Thank ...those that donated coats, afghans, clothing items and more. Many of the items were given out.

The Season to be Thankful and the season to Give

Thanksgiving is the time of year to give thanks and give of your service to others without any thought of a reward. The Fall season is passing us by as old man winter approaches. During this holiday season, let's give to others in some shape form or fashion, if it is raking an elderly person's yard, making a grocery run for someone without a vehicle, clothing the needy, making phone calls to help others. Be a blessing to someone else. Fountain Chateau B&B will be opening it's doors once again this year to feed the Juneau County Community on Thanksgiving Day for those seniors who may not have families or without transportation, those families that may not have relatives in the area and many others will be joining us on this festive day.
Many volunteers are giving up their Thanksgiving Day to come and share in this special day with others at the Chateau to help prepare the meals,clean up and serve.

Girlfriend Weekend of Fun & Pampering

A group of 40-year old girlfriends discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the Fountain Chateau B&B because the waiters there were good looking and had buff bodies.


Ten years later, at 50 years of age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally, it was agreed that they should meet at the Fountain Chateau B&B because the food there was very good and it had an excellent wine selection.

Ten years later, when they were all 60, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. They agreed that they would meet again at the Fountain Chateau B&B because they could eat there in peace and quiet and the restaurant had a beautiful view of the ocean.

Ten years later the group, all 70 years of age, once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the Fountain Chateau B&B because the restaurant was wheel chair accessible and they even had an elevator.

Ten years later, at 80 years of age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the Fountain Chateau Bed&Breakfast because they had never been there before.

IT'S A NEW SEASON
Well, it's that time of year; time to spring forward. It's that time of year where we start to see the fruit of our labor as the buds begin to bloom from the seeds that we've sown and soon we'll see the harvest. It's a time of rebirth, renewal and a time for us to recharge our inner beings, our thoughts and our deeds. It's time for us to refocus our energy as we start to shed the old habits, the old thoughts and ways as we begin to blossom. It's a time of rejuvenation and refreshing; and oh yeah..."baseball and apple pie." If you're like me, you started the year with thoughts of a renewed regiment to having a healthier and stronger body and hopefully, you were successful in carrying out your plan. Now that spring has sprung, I hope you've prepared your plans for traveling to a Bed&Breakfast that offers you many amenities during your stay. Let's give the innkeepers a reason to give out shouts of adoration because all of their rooms are filled to capacity, So, let's all enjoy this season with a renewing of our mind and take time to stop and appreciate the beauty of the earth that surrounds us. Finding Your Niche!

Welcome to Fountain Chateau Bed & Breakfast. Have you often wondered what is my niche in life, what is that special thing that interest me, is this something I can offer as a special service to people? Well, after finding a special interest in the Bed&Breakfast business, it has proven to be exciting as well as an experience. An experience that we have enjoyed, meeting people from various backgrounds and how they managed to become Bed&Breakfast owners, chatting with guests that travel from around the world to stay at different B&B's. During the planning stages of Fountain Chateau, much thought and strategic planning had to go into the case scenario, "what if, what then", our challenge was location, location, location (geographically challenged). What if people don't want to visit a location off of the beaten path, then what? Guess what? After speaking with tourist and visitors we found out that many people want to visit a place off the beaten path, where they can find solace, peace & quiet in a warm yet elegant environment. So what was our strategy, offer something that will ensure our guest return time and time again. Make it something, excuse the expression, but this over used phrase " a one stop shop". We decided to offer a fitness room, why leave to go to a gym, get it right here, offer a gift shop, what if the guest forgot a personal item, need toothpaste, need a gift basket that you want to purchase for someone, need a health item, got a headache, need an outfit, but you don''t want to go to the mall, Fountain Chateau is here for you to shop right at your bedroom door. Wanting to eat something special, but you are a diabetic, gluten free meal, searching for a vegan meal, deciding that you want a fresh fruit smoothie we are here for you. What about just wanting to step outside your room and visit in another relaxing setting, Fountain Chateau offers a quaint little library sitting area, where you can enjoy reading books covering many topics and all the history you want to know is just a fingertip away from our bookshelf that is stocked with past history and today's modern history from famous authors/writers. What about some live music, we have you taken care of, once a month we offer live Jazz/Pop music during our Sunday Jazz brunch. Thinking about riding a bike. Fountain Chateau is adjacent to the Omaha Bike Trail, and guess what, just hop on the bike trail, no need to store the bike and find a location to ride, we're located next door to the trail.
Am I leaving anything out, well there is so much to offer you, access to internet, large screen T.V. handicap accessible ramp for those with special needs. An elevator if you don't want to take the steps, we can accommodate your needs for comfort. What if you just want to sit outside, we have a beautiful large outside deck for those wanting a little sunlight during the spring and summer months. Want that small intimate wedding of just a few guests, we offer a complete wedding package (10-50 guests.) Gowns are available in the boutique, music for the wedding, all that you need.
